BJL Laboratoires is an independent environmental and chemical testing laboratory in France, located in Sèvres near Paris. We support construction professionals, property surveyors, industrial companies, local authorities, engineering consultancies, laboratories and R&D teams with laboratory testing and analytical expertise.
Our laboratory provides asbestos testing, lead testing, PAH testing, PFAS testing and soil and excavated material testing. We also provide custom chemical analysis, analytical method development and consulting, as well as particle, dust and deposit identification by TEM-EDX.
Samples suitable for shipment can be sent to BJL Laboratoires from France, other European countries and international locations, subject to confirmation of sample stability, packaging and transport requirements.

PFAS Laboratory Testing
BJL Laboratoires provides laboratory testing for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in drinking water, environmental water, groundwater, process water and industrial effluents.
Targeted PFAS analyses are performed using liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). The analytical programme can be adapted according to the matrix, target compounds and required analytical performance.

BJL Laboratoires provides characterisation of soils, excavated materials and construction spoil, including laboratory analyses used to assess compatibility with French ISDI acceptance criteria.
Testing can include leaching tests and analyses for metals, PAHs, hydrocarbons, PCBs, BTEX and other parameters according to the requested programme.
How Do I Submit a Sample for Laboratory Analysis?
Before sending a sample, check the required sample quantity, container, packaging, sampling precautions and expected turnaround time for the requested analysis.
For a specific analytical request, please provide, where possible, the sample matrix, the compound or element of interest, the approximate expected concentration and the purpose of the analysis.
For an unknown particle, dust, deposit or particulate contamination, please also describe its origin, the circumstances in which it appeared and any suspected sources. Comparison samples may be useful.
Samples can be delivered directly to our laboratory in Sèvres. Samples may also be shipped from France and abroad when the matrix is suitable for transport.
